School Closing Policy
We follow Fairfax County Public Schools closure decisions in cases of inclement weather. However, school days missed as a result of inclement weather will not be made up unless more than a week of school is lost.
- When the County is closed, TPK is closed.
- When the County has a 2-hour delay:
- 2.5 year old classes will meet from 11:00am -12:45pm.
- Morning classes begin at 11:00 and end at 1:00.
- Lunch Bunch will end at 2:00pm.
- Creative Play Afternoon classes end at 3:30pm.
- When the County closes early the Phone Tree will be implemented to inform parents of our decision.
REMINDER -- Please make your child's lunch peanut free (no peanut butter). Even the smell and/or touch of peanuts can be life threatening to students with allergies.

Every effort will also be made by the Preschool will keep parents notified through the voicemail system (703-691-1006) and through the Truro Preschool website (www.truropreschool.org). Announcements may also be heard on WTOP radio and found on their website (www.wtopnews.com).
